The defence company from Western Zealand is experiencing significant growth and is restructuring its organization to prepare for the future.
For four decades, Military Equipment Denmark has been a trusted advisor and supplier to the Armed Forces in Scandinavia and the Baltic States. In recent years, however, the geopolitical situation has accelerated the pace significantly for the defence company located in Regstrup near Holbæk:
“We need to strengthen our strategic focus so that we can become even better at meeting the defence-related needs in all the countries in which we operate. Therefore, at the turn of the year we are establishing the parent company MED Group and organizing our activities into several subsidiaries targeted at the activities and products we can already see our customers are demanding.”
This is how owner and CEO of MED, Peter Skjold Jensen, explains the decision. On 1 January he will take up the position of CEO of MED Group.
Among the subsidiaries in the new group structure is, naturally, the original company Military Equipment Denmark, founded in 1987. Here as well, changes are taking place at the top: the current COO Rune Friis Christensen will become the new CEO as of 1 January.
“MED is a company built on proud traditions and strong values of trustworthiness, professionalism, and honour – as well as a dedicated and extremely qualified team of employees. None of that will change, not even with me at the helm. And I look forward to taking over the baton from Peter Skjold Jensen,” says Rune Friis Christensen.
